Clover Legends Poison Guide: Area Attacks and Damage Over Time
Recognize the demonstrated Poison moves, follow area hits and continuing damage, and build controlled encounters around the available spells.
Use Poison in Clover Legends by learning where its area attacks land and what happens after the initial hit. Poison is one of the books introduced as a growth option; develop the equipped book toward Level 10 and 20 while testing its available moves in encounters you can control.
Follow the hit before adding another attack
An area hit and damage that continues afterward answer different combat questions. The first is whether the target was inside the attack. The second is whether you can leave yourself room to move while the effect continues. Watch both before pressing another move simply because it is available.
The Poison showcase below demonstrates Poison Slice, Venom Earthquake and Toxic Blast. Use the visible target area and continuing damage as practice observations rather than a numerical damage comparison.
Recognize the demonstrated Poison moves
Poison Slice, Venom Earthquake and Toxic Blast are the named attacks in this showcase. Its area effects and damage over time are useful reasons to try Poison, but these names do not replace the spell panel for the book you currently own. Inspect which attacks are available before copying a sequence from the recording.
| Observation | Useful response |
|---|---|
| The target is outside the visible attack area | Adjust the next attack's placement before extending the sequence |
| Damage continues after the opening hit | Keep space to move and observe before committing another action |
| Several enemies reach you together | Reduce the pull until you can follow one target's response |
| A spell milestone has been reached | Inspect the newly available move before mixing it into the encounter |
Build a controlled area-damage attempt
Choose a manageable fight and use one available Poison move. Follow the target long enough to tell whether the opening connected and whether an effect continued. If you lose track of the enemy under several overlapping effects, simplify the attempt rather than guessing which move did the work.
Once placement is reliable, try an encounter with more targets and compare the pressure on you. An area attack can reach several enemies, but pulling a larger group also gives more enemies a chance to interrupt your plan. Return to the smaller encounter if moving safely becomes the part you cannot repeat.
The grimoire roster puts Poison alongside the other growth books. If the next goal is another spell, keep the Level 10 and 20 milestones in mind before following the spin route.
Should every available move be used immediately?
No. First learn what one attack reaches and what happens afterward. Add another action when it solves a visible problem, rather than hiding missed placement under more effects.
